The British Olympic Association (BOA) has today confirmed that Federici and Clark will head to Rio 2016 to represent Team GB at the Olympic Games.

Olivia Federici and Katie Clark will be competing in the duet event in which they secured the quota place for Britain in the qualification event which took place in Brazil in March.

“Both athletes competed at the London 2012 Olympic Games together in the team event. This has created a strong bond between them that will only work to their benefit in Rio.” – Karen Thorpe

Federici, of Plymouth, said: “It’s a huge honour to be selected for Team GB for the Rio 2016 Olympics which will be my third Games and I am relishing the opportunity to compete in that environment again.”

Reading’s Clark added, “It’s exciting to be part of Team GB again after being selected for Rio 2016 for my second Games.
